W3 | Specialist Consultation #2

I had a meeting with Lin Yew today (22 June 2020) to gather some opinions from him about my project topic and whether its direction is clear. I proceeded to tell him about my research findings and project concerns from point one as it is our first meeting, to seek for some advice on where to improve. I mentioned that projection mapping was something I am most keen on and he questioned my understanding of the media as well as shared another projection mapping film/installation with me which provoked some thoughts. I asked whether the topic is hard to digest because it is a concern of mine for the project. Ultimately, I came to a conclusion that whether if the message is hard to digest really depended on how will I be able to deliver the message in the storytelling.

• Do more research on possible interactivity executions.

• Do more research on projection mapping and its potential shape to be projected on.

• Understand what the media (projection mapping) can offer me.

• Start crafting a full synopsis of the story and do some story boarding to deliver the idea.
