I started to draft out the storyboard to have a clearer vision on what graphic elements I may need to tell the story and came up with a general concept, such as character design, supporting elements and different perspectives. The following is the step by step walk through of the storyboard.

Character is preparing to cyber dive into the net, she has a blue glow once she entered the space

She is in awe of the virtual space but all the sudden she is chased by explicit contents. As she ran,

She found a hover board and starts using it to escape the explicit contents chasing her. She suddenly makes a wrong turn and hit a wall which resulted in a dead end, inescapable.

She is then protected by the silent heroes and as she is celebrating the escape, she caught up with her heroes but she entered a space which the atmosphere is not pleasant..

Eyes are popping out from the walls and the environment is tense. The feeling she got from the space was that there's external participants watching their every move. The heroes are all panicky and all the sudden one of the heroes starts malfunctioning.

That person cries for help from the character, she has no idea what to do but only watch and as it goes one, more and more flooded her

To the point she is being swallowed up by them and she awoken from the shock.

Once she awaken from the dive, she placed the gadget on the side of her desk, and turned to her monitor, her glow suddenly turned red, signifying that she is infected.

//Visual References

This reference is my main inspiration for the visuals I wish to create, the 2D effects and 3D animation is the art direction I want to go with. Vibrant, fluidity and dynamics of this video is ideal for referencing.

2. "MIRAGES" by Romain Trystram

In terms of vibrancy, the use of neon and dark atmospheric visuals like this will be explored too. The high contrast is very eye catching and this type of art direction is very suitable with the dark atmosphere office as mentioned in the storyboarding. I was highly inspired from this reference and intend to recreate something as mesmerising as this.

3. "Nihontō - Enter the Swordsmith" by Black Math

From this reference, I considered its use of colour and grain in the visual elements and it triggered a thought that perhaps this could be a possible visual treatment for my project too. Also observing the fluidity of it visual animation, I'm highly inspired by the visual treatment of this project too.

That is all for now, the storyboarding is a general walk through of the story that has yet to be polished in detail. I intend to work further and explore different ways of visual storytelling.
