I met up with Lin Yew to seek for a different perspective of my project. After explaining the current project idea progress, he has uncertain expectations for it as the content has not been fully developed. For example, the storyboarding and how the elements will be incorporated in the installation in detail. He mentioned that the different cuts of the story has to be seamlessly conveyed if I'm planning to separate the story in random rather than the correct sequence and that will be the biggest challenge of the project in terms of content developing. The users must not be confused if this execution plan takes place.
In terms of technical development, he said that my execution method is interesting but it lacks technical innovation and the interactivity can definitely be more immersive. What can be innovated, something that has never been seen before? He gave an example of how this whole project can be an "interactive cinema" where the users can follow the graphics or the graphics follow the users in an enclosed area; involving the audience into the storytelling. The method can be explored with using infrared sensors simultaneously with projection mapping.
Lastly, I showed him my intended art styles and references mentioned in the previous blog. He has no objections with the art direction and mentioned that if I'm able to execute it, it will be best. He emphasized that at this stage, the content that I want to showcase will need to be at utmost priority, no matter how amazing the graphics are, content is the determining factor if this project is a successful one.
